Regional differences are a huge part of the American identity. Food, culture amongst other things are what makes the United States so diverse apart from geographical features and whatnot.

This being said, certain vehicular trends are more specific to certain parts of the country than others.

1. The Donk (Or whatever you call them): Mainly seen below the Mason Dixon.

Kinja'd!!!

2. Swangas: Mainly Houston, maybe other parts of Texas?

Kinja'd!!!

3. High trim 2500 or 3500 trucks with Ranch Hand front bumpers: Georgia, Texas and a few other deep south states.

Kinja'd!!!

4. Lifted Tacomas: Mississippi, Louisiana, PNW?

I’ve never seen so many lifted Tacomas than Mississippi and Louisiana have. The PNW also has a bunch according to my friend who lives near Portland.

Kinja'd!!!

Any others?

There’s also the Carolina Squat, which I personally have never seen in either Virginia or North Carolina.

I’ve seen in it Southwest Virginia, North and South Carolina. It’s contagious and spreading. I personally don’t mind a little squat, but what these people are doing is excessive.

Yeah, PNW is full of lifted Tacomas.

Is “Teslas with annoying custom plates that are just as common as Corollas” a west coast thing, or do you guys see them everywhere too?

In Florida, we tend to buy a lot of 4x2 trucks with appearance packages.

Do they go off road? No.

Do they haul things? No.

Are they used for work? No.

I mean, not that I would know or anything.

It’s not just lifted Tacomas in Mississippi. It’s lifted every damn thing. We have two dealerships where I live that specialize in lifted custom truck and SUV’s.

I’ve just seen specifically more lifted Tacomas down in the gulf coast area than anywhere else. Lifted everything else is all over the place except like the Northeast.

I would be deeply offended by this comparison if I would be a true Slav. My squattings skills and appetite for mayonnaise are at Slav level though.

Lifted trucks are straight up everywhere. However, New England seems to have the traditional diesel-powered brodozer in excess.

The Northern United States also tends to give birth to a lot of overland vehicles.
